Data controller
Kotana, whose details appear in the legal notice, decides the purposes and means of the processing described below.
Data collected
Two forms, and nothing else:
- Beta signup: first name, email address, organisation, role, team size, browsing language.
- Contact form: name, email address, organisation, subject, message, browsing language, and your browser identifier.
Purposes
To contact you when the beta opens, to answer your message, and to understand which roles Kotana serves. No automated decisions, no profiling.
Legal basis
Your consent, given by filling in the form (GDPR article 6.1.a), and our legitimate interest in answering a request addressed to us (article 6.1.f).
Retention
Beta signups: up to three years after the last contact, or until you ask for deletion. Contact messages: three years after our reply.
Recipients
The Kotana team, and the technical providers who host the site and deliver our email. No one else.
Hosting and transfers
Your data is stored in France, in a database hosted by Scaleway. Email is sent from our own mail server, also in France. Cloudflare, based in the United States, provides delivery and protection for the site: it processes visitors' IP addresses under standard contractual clauses.
Your rights
You may at any time access your data, correct it, have it erased, request its portability, or object to its processing. Write to us: we answer within one month. You may also lodge a complaint with the CNIL, the French data protection authority.
Cookies
This site sets no analytics or advertising cookies. Your light or dark theme choice is kept in your browser's local storage: it never leaves your device and is never sent to us.
